02 Introduction of an essay

Introduction 很重要，既能吸引读者的兴趣，又能告诉他们 essay 的内容。Introduction 一般占全文的10-20%。要学习如何写 Introduction ，首先要熟悉它最重要的目的。

1.  通过激发读者的兴趣和好奇心来吸引读者
Introduction 的第一句话应该引起读者的兴趣。这个句子有时被称为钩子。它可能是一个问题，一个引语，一个惊人的数据，或一个强调主题相关性的声明。

2. 为你的主题提供背景和上下文

03 Body of an essay

Essay 的正文是你提出论点来支持你的主题陈述，提供证据，并发展你的想法。它的中心目的是陈述、解释和分析你收集的用来支持你论点的信息和来源。

1. 正文的长度
正文的长度取决于 essay 的类型。平均而言，论文的主体部分占60% - 80%。对于一篇高中论文，这可能只有三段，但是对于一篇6000字的研究生论文，正文可能会占据8-10页。

2. 段落结构
为了给你的 essay 一个清晰的结构，使用段落和标题是很重要的，这样会让内容易于阅读和理解。每一段都应该围绕一个论点或观点。

04 Conclusion of an essay

结论是一篇 essay 的最后一段。它所占的篇幅一般不超过10-15%。

有力的 essay 结论应该要

• 将 essay 正文中提出的论点联系起来
• 陈述你的论点的结果
• 强调论文陈述对于政策、学术界或更广泛的世界的相关性和意义
• 探讨更广泛的含义和主题的重要性

一个好的结尾应该用一个令人难忘的或有影响力的句子来结尾，强调你工作的重要性，并给读者留下强烈的结尾印象。

而常见的书写错误是

• 包括新的论点或证据
• 贬低你的论点(e.g. “This is just one approach of many”)

• I have carefully proofread my essay and fixed unclear sentences, grammatical errors and typos.
